Wear For Success (2)

Rotarian Linda Scott with Jodie Aickin

This week we visited the charity Wear for Success where we received a tour from Jodie Aickin,

This organisations assists people  who have limited means with clothes to attend interviews and wear when working at new jobs.

In a typical year they assist around 800 people and is more than just providing access to clothes.

Those who access the service are treated as important clients who are helped by staff and volunteers who spend time to find the best results.

Additional services include help with grooming, resume writing, and understanding the interview process. All important in adding to the self confidence the clients get from looking smart,

If you have got good quality mens or womens clothes or shoes you don’t wear, think about donating to Wear for Success at 5/24 Eastern Road, South Melbourne and checkout their website at www.wearforsuccess.org.au.
